That’s why earlier this year we ran our Member Perception Survey, to better understand what you value most, where we can improve, and how we can ensure your Chamber membership delivers even greater impact for your business.

But you also shared areas where we can improve, such as making benefits clearer, providing more sector-specific updates, and making it even easier to access support.
What’s changing
Your feedback is shaping the way we move forward. We’ve listened and are already taking action so in the months ahead, members can look forward to:
- New newsletters tailored to your needs – covering exports, events, and policy, so you receive relevant, timely, and practical updates that matter most to your business.
- Monthly online drop-in sessions, giving every member an easy and informal way to ask questions, get advice, or simply check in with the Chamber team without leaving your desk.
- More in-depth updates on our work locally, regionally, and nationally – making it easier for you to feed into to the issues that matter most to you.
- Clearer communication of benefits, helping you see at a glance what’s available and how to make the most of your membership.
Looking further ahead, we’ll also be introducing personalised member benefit statements, to give you a clearer picture of the value you’re receiving from your Chamber membership.

The survey also confirmed what we already knew – that Bedfordshire’s business community is dynamic, collaborative, and ambitious. With many of you joining primarily to connect with other businesses, our role is to make those connections easier, more meaningful, and more rewarding.
