ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is trumpeting all things Elephant and all things Asian with a mammoth celebration of Elephant Appreciation Weekend to help raise vital funds for elephant conservation and research projects. East Anglian Air Ambulance have a helicopter landing at Rufus Centre Saturday 6 October 2012 between 10am and 11:30am. There will be other attractions while the helicopter is at the centre included a WWII jeep, a miniature working steam engine and displays by various supporter companies (indoor and out) – including current confirmations by Pro Direct Beauty, the Womens Institute and Vauxhall.
The stunning Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey is set to welcome six of the West End's top stars, led by Earl Carpenter, to perform songs from the world's most successful musicals including Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, Sweet Charity, Aspects of Love and Wicked.

Economic developments in the eurozone is top of the list of issues businessowners believe will affect their firm this year and next, according to a poll of almost 2,000 firms released today by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC). Over half (52%) of firms believe that the eurozone crisis will have a significant influence on their business in 2012 and 2013, followed closely by cuts to UK public sector budgets (46% of businesses), and access to finance (42% of businesses).
Bedfordshire Chamber is to be a partner for the London Luton Airport Meet the Buyer event at Putteridge Bury on the 18th October. The event provides a platform for local businessess to present information about their products and services to airport-based companies and potentially open up supply chain opportunities for airport businesses.

Susan Goodman has won the second engineering bursary to be awarded by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by engineering company Veruth Holdings.
