Forest of Marston Vale blown away by support

Written by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce | 11 Feb 2020

As storm Ciara hit, the Forest of Marston Vale (Reg Charity No. 1069229) were out planting over 1500 trees with 200 local people, all committed to making a difference to the local area.

“We run these public tree plantings every year, as well as giving away trees to residents of the Forest area.” Says Community Engagement Officer, Jo Roberts. “They get amazing engagement from people across the area and despite some horrendous weather people always show up, with smiles on their faces, and get stuck in.”

Tree planting season is December – March. The Forest of Marston Vale’s next Public Tree Planting will be early 2021, on land near Kings Wood , just outside Ampthill. The charity have planted over 2 million trees with local people, businesses and schools since they began in the early 1990s. Find out more at www.marstonvale.org.
