Cambridge Mask PRO, the environmental option for businesses

Written by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce | 04 Nov 2020

Espère Healthcare Ltd, located in Shefford, are raising awareness of the benefits of the Cambridge Mask PRO, including the environmental benefits provided by its capability to be worn for up to 340 hours, that’s around 6 months of wear for the average user. In addition to the long life of the mask, the PRO range packaging is developed from recycled cardboard and eco-friendly paper. This packaging is also 100% fully recyclable.

As face coverings are now part of the ‘new normal’, and it seems we will be wearing them for the foreseeable future, it’s important to find an option that is protective and comfortable as well as sustainable. The Cambridge Mask, available in two colour options and 3 different sizes, is suitable for adults and children. Within the pack are head straps, nose pads, valve stickers and adjustable toggles to ensure a close, comfortable fit. The mask can be hand washed with soap and hot water.

As each activated carbon filament is several times smaller than the grain size of most carbon materials, the rate of absorption of pollutant gas is much swifter and more efficient. Breathing through the mask is a breeze despite the high number of filaments.

The mask uses a unique triple filter system. The first layer catches larger pollution particles such as dust, followed by the three-ply micro particulate filter which stops nearly 100% of smaller particulate matter. The inner filtration layer is made from a pure activated carbon cloth. The carbon filter is also treated with an antimicrobial to ensure almost 100% of harmful pathogens are removed and destroyed. Cambridge Masks perform better and last longer than many other masks.

Chris Steeples, MD of Espère Healthcare says: “We are proud distributors of the Cambridge Mask PRO in the UK. The British military grade filter masks were initially developed for use in high pollution areas, as well as those working in manufacturing. The optional head strap and nose pad help to improve mask fit while also increasing comfort and preventing fogging of glasses in colder weather.”
