The University of Bedfordshire’s Knowledge Hub has teamed up with Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedford Borough Council to launch an innovative leadership and management training programme aimed at business professionals looking to develop their skills set.

The  programme called ‘Skills for Growth’, and supported by the European Social Fund, offers training in business management and leadership skills, together with an opportunity to achieve the Chartered Management Institute’s Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management.

Daniel Nicholls, Project Manager of ‘Skills for Growth’ said:

“This programme presents aspiring managers with the unique opportunity to enhance their skills and expertise whilst providing a platform on which to build future professional development needs.

“Delegates will then be able to apply the knowledge and practical skills learned on the course to give their business an added advantage over competitors.”

This course will be delivered by professionals with a wealth of experience running their own businesses. The delegates will learn how to make best use of project management tools and techniques, apply financial controls, understand how to raise investment and apply innovation to any aspect of their business to aid future growth.

The 10-week course starts on Tuesday, 7 May with classes held every Tuesday evening at the Bedford Campus.
