Robinson and Hall

Written by Paula Devine | 12 Jun 2013

Lisa Emms has joined Robinson and Hall as  Lettings Assistant.

After graduating from Loughborough University in 2002 with a Chemistry degree with forensic analysis, Lisa went on to work in various roles, focusing on working with the public, helping and coaching people and making a difference to the world we live in - three passions that she feels very strongly about.

Her first role was working in the Ministry of Defence as a Radionuclide Forensic Scientist, where she analysed the radioactivity of samples from around the world. Lisa then had a change of heart and joined the Thames Valley Police as a Police Office, working with the public, gaining life skills and coping with every situation thrown at her. This lead her to become a Life Coach for a year, working with a road accident victim whose injuries affected their social ability to interact with people. She then went back to the Police and worked as an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor, working with victims and helping them deal with their situations.

She then set foot into the lettings industry and worked for Jane Beard, where she enjoyed the office environment and working with the public. Her love for working abroad soon took over though and she worked in France as a Water Sports Instructor, where she found her passion for teaching.

Returning to the UK she studied a PGCE in Secondary Science at Bedfordshire University and went on to teach Chemistry at Bedford Modern School until earlier this year.

Lisa then joined Robinson & Hall in April 2013 as a part time Lettings Assistant, where she has found her perfect balance of work and home life. She has already enhanced her computer literacy skills and has dealt with a variety of matters that arise on a daily basis when dealing with the public. She is gaining knowledge on the legal side of lettings and is taking on more projects as the month’s progress.

Outside of work she is a full time mum for two little ones and she enjoys sport, playing badminton at any given opportunity.
