The Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation are delighted to announce a new and exciting funding opportunity available for organisations who support women and girls across Bedfordshire. The fund is launched on 8th March the same day as International Women’s Day.
Funding up to £5,000 per annum will be available to successful organisations.
The fund: The Mark West Fund for Women is named after the late Chief Exceutive of the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, Mark was very passionate about addressing issues of inequality, and his commitment lives on through this fund.
The Aim of the fund is to improve the lives of women and girls (over the age of 11) who live in Bedfordshire.
The Priorities:
• Address issues of poverty and homelessness
• Promote education and literacy
• Provide health activities and programmes
• Address issues of violence and safety
• Provide opportunities to develop economic self – sufficiency and enhance prospects for the future
