The Luton and Dunstable Hospital and Helipad Appeal Chairman, Edward Phillips CEO of the Luton Hoo Estate, are hosting a gala event on the 18th May 2019 at The Conservatory at the Luton Hoo Walled Garden. The event will be raising money for our helipad appeal and we would very much welcome your support in making our event a success.
Each year, over 90,000 patients are admitted to our Emergency Department and approximately 25% of these have life threatening injuries or illness and require immediate, specialist medical care.
When someone suffers a major trauma the faster they receive specialist emergency care, the more likely it is that the treatment will prevent death or serious disability. This is often referred to as the Golden Hour and emergency services strive to get patients to the most appropriate place for lifesaving care within an hour of sustaining their injury.
Many UK hospitals, including ours,do not have adequate landing facilities for air ambulances even though they play an essential role in increasing a patient’s chance of survival. Through our helipad appeal, we are going to change this by building a rooftop helipad that is directly connected to our Emergency Department and Cardiac Centre. The proposed 24 hour helipad already has planning consent and will be designed so that all types of helicopters can land on it.
Ways that you can get involved in the event
Take a seat or a table:
We would be delighted if you and your colleagues would consider attending our dinner. Event tickets are £250 for an individual and £2,500 for a table of ten. The event will provide a strong networking opportunity as well as an opportunity to support a life-saving appeal benefitting people in your local community. Tickets are selling fast so please do get in touch with us if you would like to attend.
Provide an auction prize:
We are actively seeking both silent and live auction prizes of varying values. With a high net worth audience of up to 300 people, this provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase your business to the local community. We are ideally seeking “money can’t buy” items, but would be happy to discuss any ideas further.
We are also looking for sponsorship for our event programme which will be distributed on the night. These opportunities are being priced at £75 for half a page and £150 for a whole page and are an excellent way of marketing your business to the local community. Please do contact us for further information and to discuss this fantastic opportunity further.
To discuss any of the above further please contact: Rachel Coakley, Corporate and Trusts Fundraiser, 01582 718 977, firstname.lastname@example.org. We would be delighted to work with you on this wonderful event.
