Corporate Tree Planting Days

Written by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce | 03 Jan 2019

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.” Wise words in this old Chinese proverb, so why not organise a corporate tree planting day with local tree-planting charity, the Forest of Marston Vale.

A corporate tree planting day with the Forest of Marston Vale can deliver objectives across Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Relations, Sales Promotions, Staff & Client Engagement, Customer Retention and Marketing as well as being a fun and satisfying day out!

Start out at the Charity’s Forest Centre in Marston Moretaine for breakfast then head out to the planting site for a practical demonstration of how to plant a tree. Then grab some tools and start planting – on average each person plants about 10 trees in a half day session, though this will be far more if there are competitive members in the team! It’s back to the Forest Centre after planting to re-fuel, with the satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped to create another woodland in the Forest of Marston Vale.

Tree planting is a winter activity and corporate tree planting events can be arranged for January – March – to find out more contact Robina Ballard-Davis, Fundraising Officer on 01234 762604 or email robina.b-d@marstonvale.org.
