Are you a levy paying employer?

Written by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce | 20 Sep 2018

Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce is working in collaboration with Skills4Stem to provide the Level 4 Associate Project Management Higher Apprenticeship Programme for Levy paying members.

Every UK employer (including the UK branches of international firms) with a £3m+ wage bill will have 0.5% of their UK wage bill automatically taken as an apprenticeship levy by HMRC each month.

Fellow Chamber members, Skills4Stem, is a main apprenticeship provider ESFA contract holder and they design, build and deliver development programmes fully funded by the apprenticeship levy.

Skills4Stem are accredited by the Association of Project Management to deliver internationally recognised Project Management qualifications including the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) and various programmes encouraging the use of AGILE in project management using methodologies such as SCRUM and LEAN.

This is an opportunity open to any Levy paying members employees, who has project management as part of their job function.  No age limit applies but most suitable for over 21yrs.

The programme would be delivered as follows:

  • Skills4Stem online eLearning
  • APM Project Management workbooks
  • 1 full day (9:30am – 4:30pm) face-to-face training delivered once a month in Luton
  • 90 minute 1-to-1 coaching session every eight weeks (50% will be via webinar)
  • Unlimited support by Skills4Stem qualified practitioner trainers.

Apprenticeship Standard:  APM Associate Project Manager Level 4

Costs of £9,000 per person over 18-24 months are fully funded by the ESFA Apprenticeship Levy.  Skills4Stem as the ESFA Prime Apprenticeship contract holder will work with the business levy lead to transfer the funding for use on this programme.
