Aegis Support Services, the fast-growing security and facilities management services provider, has appointed experienced operations professional Darren Austin to its team as head of national operations.
Darren brings more than 25 years of experience in security and facilities management to the business having worked for several leading providers of integrated facility and security solutions. In his new role, he will oversee operational delivery, quality of service, systems, and technology across multiple workstreams and for clients across the UK, working closely with the business’s directly employed teams and directors.
Before joining Aegis, Darren was head of security at First Choice Facilities Services, where he was responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring operational systems and procedures for a portfolio of commercial clients. He has also held the role of head of security for Ladbrokes Coral.
This latest appointment follows a period of strong growth for the Luton-based business, which launched its new security control centre in 2021 and has opened offices in Cardiff, Manchester, and Glasgow as part of its plans to develop its offering to customers across the UK in a wide range of industry sectors.
