For the Aegis Group of Companies, growth has never been simply about getting bigger - it’s been about ambition, innovation, and purpose. What began as a single security and facilities management business has evolved into a diverse group of brands operating across multiple sectors and international markets.
Today, Aegis is driving forward with a clear vision: to deliver exceptional service, nurture talent, and make a positive impact both locally and globally.
From a single service to a global group
The Aegis story began with Aegis Support Services, a leading UK provider of security services, resourcing, and facilities management. As demand grew, so did the opportunity to branch into new areas. This strategic evolution gave rise to the Aegis Group of Companies, a portfolio that now spans everything from property and events to retail, technology, and training.
The group includes ten businesses: Aegis Support Services; Aegis Protection Services, delivering security services in Dubai; Aegis Training, delivering professional development across the UK; DE Signs, specialists in bespoke signage, graphics and labels; Harrington Green, offering property management and support services spanning building maintenance, security and commercial cleaning; Elara Events, producing creative events in the UK and Dubai; CTRL Room, a workforce management solution; Lykke London, a premium home fragrance brand; Matilda May, a luxury aesthetics clinic; and Aegis Real Estate, specialists in high-end property.
“It’s about showing people that we’re more than one thing,” says Karen Younes, Marketing & Events Executive. “Aegis Support Services will always be at our core, but the group allows us to reach so many more industries and collaborate with different kinds of clients. That diversity has been a real strength.”
Going global
2025 marks a major milestone for Aegis Group as it takes its operations beyond the UK. Aegis Support Services has now launched in Dubai, with plans for further expansion into India later this year and Morocco in 2026. Other brands within the Aegis Group, including Elara Events and Lykke London, are also preparing to establish a Dubai presence in the coming months.
“The international expansion reflects our confidence in what we do,” explains Ellen Rust, Corporate & Executive Coordinator. “We’ve built a reputation for quality and reliability here in the UK, and now we’re taking that same ethos to new markets. Dubai is an exciting gateway for global growth.”
For Aegis, the expansion is not just about business opportunity; it’s about creating sustainable international operations that uphold the same values of integrity, service, and community that define the group in the UK.
Local roots, global mindset
Despite its global reach, Aegis remains deeply connected to its roots in Bedfordshire. The company credits much of its success to the partnerships and opportunities fostered through the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, where Aegis has progressed from Platinum Partner to Strategic Partner.
“Our partnership with the Chamber has been transformational,” says Karen. “It’s our strongest collaboration. The team there genuinely understands our business and helps us connect with the right people. That’s how we’ve opened doors to projects we might never have known about otherwise.”
Ellen agrees: “Every time we attend a Chamber event, we meet people who already know Aegis and are eager to speak with us. That level of recognition has come from being active members and building real relationships.”
Through the Chamber, Aegis has also been involved in key local initiatives and events, from SME Bedfordshire Business Awards sponsorship to opportunities linked to the proposed Universal Studios development. “We’re proud to be part of such a forward-thinking network,” Ellen adds. “It’s a model we’d love to replicate in other regions.”
Giving back and growing together
Aegis’s success is built on people, both inside and outside the organisation. The company continues to invest in local talent through apprenticeships and T-Level placements, working closely with colleges to offer pathways into long-term careers. Staff retention remains high across both office and front-line teams, reflecting a strong culture of loyalty and belonging.
That same people-first mindset drives Aegis’s community work. Over the past year, the group has supported Friends of Bright Eyes (FOBE), a local charity for children with disabilities, raised funds for the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, contributed to food bank initiatives, and delivered knife-crime awareness sessions to students across Bedfordshire.
“Giving back is part of who we are,” says Ellen. “It’s not something we do for recognition, it’s something our people genuinely care about. Many of our staff live in Luton and Bedfordshire, so they understand the needs of the area and want to help.”
Looking ahead
As 2026 approaches, Aegis is poised for its next phase of growth. With new markets opening, a strong and diverse portfolio, and a deep sense of purpose driving every decision, the group’s future looks bright.
“We’ve come a long way in a short time,” reflects Karen. “But this is just the beginning. The focus now is on sustainable expansion; building strong foundations abroad while continuing to invest in our people and our communities here at home.”
Ellen agrees: “For us, it’s all about people, purpose and possibility. If we keep those at the heart of what we do, the opportunities are endless.”
