Being a member of the Chamber gives you the ability to express your business views and opinions with the reasurrance they will be articulated to key influencers at local, regional and national government level.
As an accredited Chamber of Commerce we act as a voice for business by lobbying on policy and by representation on your behalf. Through us, you have the chance to be involved with local issues affecting you, your business and the community.
There is a range of issues that we seek to take up on behalf of members collectively and sometimes on an individual basis. Some of these include:
- Participating in the consultation on the growth of housing in Milton Keynes and Bedford to ensure the proposed plans meet the needs of local business
- Providing full and unequivocal lobbying support to plans for the expansion of London Luton Airport
- Researching the skills gap locally and feeding our findings into government consultants
- Lobbying at local and national level campaigning for the reduction of unecessary regulations and red tape for businesses.
